Spike died of lymphoma cancer way too young, not quite seven years old.
He was my best friend and constant companion. Randi, Max, and I will miss him terribly, but I will especially yearn for his day-long company. He was always with me as I worked and followed me wherever I went in the house.
Spike was really my first dog and he taught me something about unconditional love that I had never experienced before.
Spike, if there’s a doggie heaven, I’m sure you’ll be there chasing squirrels, barking at school buses, and playing in the park.
I love you, buddy. So long and take care.
